Can I really learn to dance? Yes. Dancing becomes easy and fun once you are taught how by an Arthur Murray expert. We teach simple, basic elements, from which the steps are derived. Hundreds of thousands of people have been successfully trained in Arthur Murray Dance Studios. There is no age limit and no need to bring a partner to learn and enjoy dancing at one of our studios. Are your teaching methods difficult? Not at all. We are famous for making learning to dance fun and easy. We teach four simple basic movements from which new combinations are derived. [ Back to top ]

Can I learn the most popular steps? You can learn the very steps in any or all social and nightclub dances like Swing, Samba, Merengue, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo, Tango, Waltz, and Salsa. [ Back to top ]

Will my lessons interfere with my busy schedule? You may take lessons any time you wish. Most studios are open from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturdays (hours of some locations may vary). [ Back to top ]

How long will it take? The length of your course will depend on how many dances you want to learn and how proficient you wish to become in each dance. However, you will be able to dance after your first lesson. [ Back to top ]

How much do lessons cost? Tuition varies, depending on a number of factors e.g., how good you want to be, what dances you want to learn, and your dance schedule.

Does the fee have to be paid in advance? Tuition is generally paid in advance, especially for Foundation Programs. However, financing and other arrangements are also available. After I learn to dance, will I still have to return to learn the newest steps? After getting a good foundation, you will be able to analyze the new steps and pick them up yourself without difficulty. However, many students return or continue because they enjoy their lessons and the dancing friends they've acquired. [ Back to top ]

Will I have a good teacher? Yes, All Arthur Murray teachers must complete an arduous training regimen, making them very competent. Your teachers will be selected to best suit your particular needs and style of learning. [ Back to top ]

How do I schedule my lessons? Students should schedule all private, group and practice lessons with the receptionist at the front desk before leaving the studio. Standing appointments also available. [ Back to top ]

How long do the lessons run? Lessons run 45 minutes long in total, which includes reconfirmation and setting up future lessons and transition time between lessons. Gift Certificates, guest, bridal and complimentary lessons are 30 minutes. [ Back to top ]

What is your cancellation policy? Students are required to notify the studio of any lesson cancellations no less than 12 hours before their scheduled lesson to avoid being charged. Special coaching lessons by an outside judge cancelled less than 8 hours before scheduled lessons are subject to a charge. [ Back to top ]
